Meet Our Kids

Friendship is an important part of a child’s social‐emotional development. From our friends we learn to share, to listen, and to express our feelings. But most importantly, our friends give us a sense of belonging. Read about some amazing friendships that have been developed through The Friendship Foundation and by the support of the SKECHERS Friendship Walk.

Marcus & Owen

I started volunteering for Friendship Foundation around a year ago with the fitness class at Anderson Park. I really enjoyed the kids and their love for exercise. I then participated in their indoor soccer program at the LA Galaxy Soccer Center, the kids were great and they seemed to love it. I met my buddy, Owen, during the indoor soccer clinic. I was already familiar with who Owen was because his older brother attends my high school. Owen was so easy to get along with and not to mention a whole lot of fun. You can tell he loves the sport and is willing to work hard. I encourage Owen to step out of his comfort zone and love seeing him improve with each soccer clinic. I look forward to hanging out with Owen and so many others at Friendship Foundation. -Marcus
