About the Walk
The annual SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk is an awe-inspiring event that brings together all walks of life for one common purpose; to support children with special needs and education. The walk is produced by SKECHERS USA and co-produced by The Friendship Foundation.
SKECHERS Foundation Mission
Founded in 2010 by the Greenberg Family, The SKECHERS Foundation exists to strengthen communities all over the world, through our greatest asset: Children. We invest in organizations dedicated to embracing individuals with special needs, improving education and empowering disadvantage youth. Our goal is simply to inspire and support individuals to make a valiant effort in creating community.
The Friendship Foundation Mission
The Friendship Foundation, formerly known as The Friendship Circle of the South Bay, exists to bring happiness and companionship to children and young adults with special needs by celebrating their uniqueness and individuality to create renewed strength, comfort and peace of mind to the families of these special individuals; to foster the values of altruism, compassion and acceptance among teen volunteers; and to heighten community awareness, sensitivity and encourage a sense of responsibility and involvement. It is our belief that every person is precious and capable of love, connection and friendship.

My First Friend
Friendship is an important part of a child's social-emotional development. From our friends we learn to share, to listen and to express our feelings. Most importantly, our friends give us a sense of belonging. Read up on some amazing friendships that have been developed through The Friendship Circle and by the support of the SKECHERS Friendship Walk.
