Meet Our Kids

Friendship is an important part of a child’s social‐emotional development. From our friends we learn to share, to listen, and to express our feelings. But most importantly, our friends give us a sense of belonging. Read about some amazing friendships that have been developed through The Friendship Foundation and by the support of the SKECHERS Friendship Walk.

Jackson & Joe

One of the things I love about Friendship Foundation is the people. They are always super nice, accepting and caring, not only to the kids, but also to the volunteers.

One of the nicest buddies I ever had was Joe. Joe can cheer up anyone! I met Joe at an event called Birthday Club. I remember him walking in with the biggest smile ready to play in the arcade. We played in the arcade together and we won a lot of tickets! After that it was pizza time. We had pizza and talked about a lot of different things such as his day at school and what he likes. After that it was time to go and I said goodbye to Joe and our fun day ended.

I like how I am able to hang out and help other kids at Friendship Foundation. When I am with my friends at Friendship Foundation I feel like I'm making a difference and I just want to stay doing what I am doing. This is why I keep coming back!
