Is there a fee to register?
Yes, registration is $25 for each walker.
If I have pre-registered, do I need to check in somewhere?
Yes, check-in tables will be at the Manhattan Beach Pier’s lower parking lot off Manhattan Beach Boulevard (they open at 8:30am). You must check in to receive your walk bib and T-shirt. On Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30, we will also offer early check-in at the following SKECHERS retail store locations:
• Manhattan Beach (at the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Manhattan Ave.)
• Torrance (Del Amo Mall)
Watch for early check-in updates on the home page as we get closer to the day of the Walk.
Can I register on the day of the Walk?
Yes, registration tables will be at the Manhattan Beach Pier’s lower parking lot off Manhattan Beach Boulevard (they open at 8:30am). Onsite registration is $30.00. To avoid the rush, we recommend registering online or in one of SKECHERS’ South Bay stores during our Registration Launch Party in August. Check this website often for the latest updates.
Where should I park?
As many of you know, parking at the beach can be challenging. Arrive early for spots on Manhattan Avenue, and check this site for lot information: http://www.downtownmanhattanbeach.com/map.cfm.
Please note: Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be closed from the Pier to Manhattan Avenue for the Pumpkin Races!
Will there be food and water, and is there a charge?
Yes, we will be providing water. There will also be food and refreshments for purchase.
Will there be any services for emergencies throughout the day?
Yes, the Manhattan Beach Fire Department and ambulance teams have been informed of the event and will be available when needed.
Where do I get my pumpkin and racing kit?

What can I do if a check is written out to me personally?
If a donation check has been written out to you, you may endorse the back of it and mail it in with a completed donation form found here.
Can I mail in a cash donation?
It is not a good idea to send a cash donation in the mail. You may drop off the cash with a completed donation form at the following location:

You can also deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account with a completed donation form to the above address. The donation will be credited to the name on the donation form.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my fundraising page?
Any donation made online should post to your fundraising page immediately. If your donation does not post within 24 hours, please contact us.
Where can I find my donation form to download, print and mail?
You can download it by clicking here.
Where can I find a list of the people who have donated to me?
Log in with your username and password to your fundraising page. On your page, there will be a list of all your donors as well your team members’ activities.
Can I make a donation to a registered walker or team?
Yes, you can donate. Just enter the person’s or team’s name in the search box on the right-hand side of the home page.
How does the SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk utilize the contributions?
Proceeds from the Walk will go toward The Friendship Circle’s ongoing programming for children who have special needs as well as our education foundations.
As a donor, you may choose one of three options:
1. Select one organization
2. Select two organizations
3. Divide your donation equally among all seven organizations

Who should I make my check out to?
Please make all checks payable to: The SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk. Please make sure to include your completed donation form.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to a participant’s fundraising account?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 24 hours, please contact us.
Are donations tax-deductible?
All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
For Canadian donations made online with a credit card, will the amount entered be in U.S. dollars?
Yes.
Do all donors who mail their donations receive a receipt?
Any donor who mails his or her donation and provides an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed.
Do all donors who contribute online receive a receipt?
Yes, anyone who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email.
What is the tax ID number for the SKECHERS Pier to Pier Friendship Walk and how can I get it?
A tax ID number identifies a group as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. You should use Tax l.D. 20-857-5157 (the number for The Friendship Circle of the South Bay).
